PRINCE OF WALES BIRTHDAY,.

The grey hazo and dull skies lifted yesterday, and right itoyal weather marked the celebration of the Prince of Wales’ Birthday. It was a happy release from the icy touch of winter. But tho want of unanimity concerning the holiday was apparent. The banks, most of tho Government offices, and a few private offices were closod, whilst tho commercial community, in tho abscnco of any local holiday fixture, stuck to the routine of business. Evidently trade was not so brisk as usual, and storekeepers wore heard lamenting the loss of sucli a glorious day. CELEBRATIONS ELSEWHERE.
