A writ for £IOOO for alleged inlander has been issued by Mrs. Angela Elizabeth Simson, of Havelock, against David Charles Tliorley, of Hastings. :

TIMARU, last night,
A four-in-hand drag with 16 people going to a country concert was smashed up Before getting out of town. The reins are supposed to have become fouled, and the driver lost control of the team, which turned round and bolted down Beverley Hill, and, turning a sharp corner to town, capsized the vehicle. Miss Foley, of Dunedin, sustained a fractured skull; the driver, Johnston, was very' much bruised, as was Miss O’Connor, and her brother had 3jin of a hatpin extracted. The whole party were much shaken.
