WELLINGTON, last night,

At the police court to-day Charles JDunn and Frank Morrah, alias Jas. Morrah, were, charged with having assaulted and wounded Gustav Greudberg. The evidence" of Grendberg was that on the night of May 4th he went to Dunn’s -place in Ellis Avenue, where the two accused and fourteen others were playing two-up. Witness won £8 or £9 and then stopped playing. After a time witness went into another room to give Morrah change for £5. They had- a dispute .and Morrali struck witness three times over the - head wtili a bottle. Dunn attacked bim with a chair, remarking, “That’s how we knock ’em oiit in a Sydney two-up school.” Witness was ■ afterwards in bed for 5 days attended by a doctor. The case was adjourned.
