AUCKLAND, Saturday

Tile inquest on the body of a man found drowned at Devonport did not disclose the identity of deceased. The body was evidently that of a laboring man. The handkerchief found on the body hearing the name “C. Kesper” proved to be the property of Captain Kasper, of the scow -Endeavor, hut he was unable to identify the body or explain how the handkerchief came into the possession of deceased. An open verdict was returned.

DUNEDIN, last night

At the inquest on Robert l),ouglas, aged G 7, unmarriod, who died in hospital as the result- of injuries sustained owing to a cart passing over him on Monday, a verdict of accidental death was returned.
