Madame Clara Butt will be accompanied on her tour of New Zealand by her husband, Mr. Kennerley Rumford, a leading baritone, also by a strong concert party. The tour will comence in Melbourne about August, and New Zealand will be visited during November.

On the suggestion of Mr. Ritchie, secretary for Agriculture, the Agricultural Conference held in connection with the Auckland winter show, pass ed a resolution expressing the opinion that the inspection of dairies and herds of farmers supplying factories would be calculated to improve the dairy show of the colony. At the sale of the Exlilbltoin statuary, the whole of Mr. Summersmarble sculpture, purchased by the Government in Melbourne, was pessed in, the reserve in no case being reached.
