FOOTBALL.

The Poverty Bay Rugby Union has decided to call a meeting of all footballers to consider the question of inaugurating an -accident fund for players. The game Kaiti-City v. "West End which was postponed last Saturday owing to the wet weather, is to be played next Saturday. At the meeting of the Rugby Union on Monday evening exception * was taken to the manner in which some of the clubs submit names of players for classification. The names of several players were hold over as no statements accompanied their application.
