Spurred, application was inado that judgment be entered up for £25 coinages. Mr W. D. Lysnar for. plaintiff consented. This was agreed to. BANKRUPTCY. Mr. 11. J. Finn appeared for Charles Catton, application for discharge, which was granted. Mr Stock appeared for Mary Elizabeth Beavis. His Honor remarked that during the nine months that she liadi been carrying on • business, £250 of her creditors’ money had been lost. Mr. Stock said funds were guaranteed by a gentleman in Gisborne, who suddenly acted differently. The business itself was a paying one. CHAMBERS. Sarah Ruth Cooper v. John Coleman. Mr. Rees appeared for defendant and the first two natives' named and Mr. Stock for plaintiffs. His Honor decided to hear the case in Chambers, and it was adjourned.

At the Supreme Court to-day the trial was commenced of Claude- Paget on a charge of murdering Eleanor Pearl Axup, at her home in Abel Smith street, on February 14tli. Albert Burridge, a boy, was found guilty of indecent assault on a girl and was admitted to probation for two years. His Honor said the lad deserved jiunishment, but he was too old to be sent to a refortnat'ojry- To send a boy to gaol would destroy his life prospects. In the Divorce Court to-day a decree nisi was granted in the case of Elizabeth Evans v. Ralph J. Evans. In the case Walter Samuel Best v. Helen Best, an order was'made for restitution of conjugal rights. Annie Ross was granted a decree nisi against George'Ross, and a similar order was made in the case of Catherine Amelia Scotland Smith v. John Scotland Smith. In Herbert Henton, v. Jessie Henton, an order was made for restitution of conjugal rights.
