HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.
The monthly meeting of the Hospital trustees was bold yesterday attornoon. There woro presentllio Chairman (Hon. Captain Tucker), and Messrs. Matthews, MacDonald, Bright Komvay, Tuohy, Shorratt, Lysnar Dewing. . ... , c Tho Treasurer reported that tor the month tho receipts from patients totailed £3O 10s and that £2 2s was received in subscriptions. The expendituro was £93 7s. The district board’s requisition from December to April was £lB7 10s. Accounts amounting to £173 19s 2d were presented for passing at the mooting. Tho Secretary reported that at the beginning of the month 27 patients remained over from the _ previous month. Thirteen wore admitted during tlio month and twelve were discharged, leaving 28 remaining at date.
The Secretary reported that the Chairman had been apointed to succeed the late Mr. J. A. Harding as guarantor for tho overdraft of the Trustees.
The Borough Council wrote offering the closed piece of Roebuck Road for £475. Tho Charitable Aid Board wrote offering to supply the necessary funds for the purchase.—lt was decided to purchase tho land. For the position of trustee rendered vacant by tho death of the late Mr. J. A. Harding, Mr. Richard Shorratt was the only gentleman nominated and lie was elected. Mr. J. W. Bright was elected to the position of treasurer, which was held by the late Mr. Harding.
The Visiting Committee reporter that the Hospital had been visited everything being found to bo satis factory. Tho Chairman and Messrs. MacDonald and Tuoliy wore appointee the Visiting Committee for tho ensuing month.
