DRUIDS’ MEETING
A mooting of Lodge Turnngnnui, No. 7, 1T.A.0.J)., was hold in tho school room, - Wnerongu-n-liikn, on rhursday evening. A mimbor of town olhcors and brethren undertook the journev, and about GO country momijors turned up from Waerengn-u-hika and tho surrounding district notwithstanding the inclement weather. Tho initiation ceremony was performed, when 15 now members wore enrolled. The Lodge, which is tho second largest. in the North Island d'- ! rict, lias now a total membership < ! vor 400. After tho business of the dgo had been transacted, the town members were entertained by tho:r country brethren. Tho toast “Tho King” being duly honored, liro. Barton proposed tho health of “Our country brethren,” which was responded to by Bros. Noonan, PJD.P., and H. J. Longhor. Musical items woro contributed by tho following: Bros. Coolcsoy, S. Lyons, H. L. Ellis, D. West, M. Colobrook, C. E. Barton, and H. J. Longhor. Bro. Ellis ably oihciated at tho piano. A vory pleasant and successful evening wqs brought to a 'dose with “Auld Lang Syne.”
