DAIRYING MATTERS.
Press Association. PALMERSTON, last night. At a meeting of delegates to-day from tho dairy factories in tlie Wellington and Hawke’s JBay provinces,, it was. decided to sot up a committee to report upon the advisability of establishing a butter-box and clieesccrate factory and report to the conference to be hold in June. It was decided-to recommend that tlio contract with the Wellington Meat Export Co. for cool storage accommodation bo renewed for another three years. A committee was set up -to ■confer with the Agricultural Department regarding the proposed inspection of dairies, and to report to the conference in Juno, AUCKLAND, last night. Tho inaugural winter show of Auckland province will bo opened by the Hon. R. McNab on "Wednesday next, and bids fair to be one of the finest •ever held in New Zealand. A feature in which keen interest has been manifested throughout the past, dairy season is the question of points for butter exported during tlie season. Valuable prizes are offered by the Auckland A. and P. Society for factories scoring the highest points for butter exported" from October Ist, 1906; to" March 31st, 1907. Tlie. first prize is valued at £2O, and with this goes the medal and cup, valued at 23 guineas. ■• - '■" - A."
