SEASON OPENS TO-AIORROW. One of the most important theatrical events in the annals of Gisborne will eventuate to-morrow (Wednesday) evening, when the popular actor,' Air. Harcourt Beatty, in conjunction with Afessrs. Aleynell and Gunn’s “Fatal Wedding” Company, will commence tlieir season in Gisborne at His Majesty’s, in what is regarded as the most popular of plays in Australia —“The Fatal Wedding” and “The Midnight Wedding.” For days past the interest in these productions has been marked, and the reports from the box ‘ office—Air. W. Miller's —are gratifying in the extreme. Everything is well prepared_fpr the opening night. “The Fatal Wedding 1 ’ and the advent of the popular “Tin Can Band” and the 30 clever children of the company are arousing much interest. Tile company does not appear on Friday night in consequence of the Club Ball, but on Saturday “The Fatal Wedding” will be repeated, with an entirely now edition of-songs and ’dances in the children’s scene. On Monday and Tuesday, May 20 anil 21, the great romantic military drama, “The Alidniglit Wedding.” will be pitesonted. lii this play Air. Harcourt Beatty appears in his original role of Paul Valmar.
