Mr. G. H. Barnes, in advance of Meynell and Gunn’s Dramatic Coy., proceeds to N|ipier on Sunday to make arrangements for the company’s appearance in the South.
Madame Blanche Arral and her concert company leave for the North this morning.
Messrs. Morgan and Darton leave to-morrow for Napier to attend the meeting of the Howke’s Bay Education Board.
A Press Association telegram from Dunedin states that the Governor arrived from South by the first express yesterday, and went on by the afternoon train to Christchurch.
Mr. O’Connor, New South Wales Minister of Instruction, has resigned his portfolio. Mr. G. G. Wellstcd, late stationmaster, leaves by the Miowera for Sydney, on route for England.
Mr. Justice Denniston, who is to preside over the sittings of the Supreme Court to open in Gisborne on Monday, arrives from South this morning.
