It has transpired that when King Kdward’s train stopped at' Sion i. was i discovered that the grease-box of one of the coaches had become detached from the axle and fallen oil when running at 100 kilometres'- an hour. Had the train restarted* a torribble accident must have occurred The axle was white hot from friction. LONDON. May 5. The Daily Chronicle states, that "hen the grease-box was found it was discovered that the bolts and pins had been extracted. It looks like as if an attempt had been made tc derail the train.

King Edward lias arrived in Lon dou after a rough passage. During his tour he travelled 4<J3O miles.
