HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
The annual meeting of the Poverty Bay Hockey Association was held in the Royal Hotel last evening. There were present: Messrs. R "Willock (Chairman), arid Hansen (Kia Kalia), O. R. Olsen, D. Roderick (West End), A. Tanner, P. Bushneil (Te Ran), C. Sargisson, J. Wilson (City). It was decided in accordance with the resolution passed at a general mooting of players, to cancel the district scheme, and substitute four clubs. City. Kia Kalia (Te Ran, and West End Clubs affiliated with the Association. The following office-bearers were elected:— President, Mr. E. H. Pavitt; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. J. Martin, K. L. Maude, R. Johnston, G. K. Paslcv, and W. F. Cederwall; secretary, Mr. J . Wilson ; management committee. Delegates to tho Association ; postponement and referee appointment committee, Messrs. 'Wilson, Roderick, Hansen, and Tanner. It was decided that the club color.s be as follows: City, green and white; Kia Kalia, white; Te Ran, blue and black; West End, red and black. It was decided, to open the season on Thursday week, the following draw taking place: May 9th, West End v. Kia Kalia and Te Ran v. City i Thursday. 16th, West End v. Te Ran and City v. Kia ICalia; Thursday, 23rd, West End v. City and Kia Kalia v .Te Ran. It was decided, that all protests should be lodged with the secretary not more than 48 hours after the /match, accompanied by a fee of 5s which should he forfeited if the protest were dismissed.
The next meeting of the Association was fixed for Monday night at tho Royal Hotel.
