CRICKET.
A meeting of the Management Committee of the Poverty Bay Cricket Association was held at the British Empire Hotel last evening, when the following delegates were present: AA r . F. Cederwall (in the chair), A. H. Hodge, G. K. Pasley, H. E. Maude, P. Sheridan, D. Barry, J(. H. AVack, AV. Gibson, AlcColl, and H. E. Hill (secretary). The chief business of the evening was to confer with Air. A. Fenton, who arrived from Napier yesterday morning to supervise the laying down of turf wickets on Victoria Domain. After" discussioir. it was decided to request Air. Fenton to lay down two wickets if possible in order that two matches might be played on the ground on Thursdays and Saturdays. Air. Cederwall offered to place the services of a gardener at the disposal of Air. Fenton for a week, and to supply all necessary implements. This offer was accepted with applause. Alessrs Hallamore, Cary, and Gib-
son were appointed a sub-committee to provide everything wanted for the laying down of the wickets. Mr. Fenton stated that eight loads of clay would be required to make foundations for the wickets, make arrangements for procuring and Mr. Cederwall was deputed to same.
The Napier groundsman expressed himself as highly pleased with Victoria Domain as a cricket ground, and was confident that he could provide first-class turf wickets there.
Accounts amounting to £2O were passed for payment.
