AUCKLAND REPRESENTATIVE TEAM’S ARRIVAL.
The Auckland team arrived last evening at 10 o’clock and were received by the reception committee of the P.B. Cricket Association. They were driven to the Coronation Hotel, where they stop during their stay. All the visitors seemed in good health and expressed themselves well pleased with the courtesy extended to them by the reception committee. A few words of hearty greeting were exchanged, and over a glass of cheer old recollections wore talked of. Alt Haddon, the famous New Zealand representative player, seemed in fine spirits and talks glibly of making a century to-day. Jim Hussey, the jovial manager of the tour, was in great' fettle and looks forward to upholding Auckland’s honor against our boys to-day. A’ic. Havanagli, with a modest smile, said he thought that he was good enough for thirty. Messrs. Hallumoro, Cary, Pasloy. and Barry wore most arduous in their attention to the visitors, and also Air. Gorman who, with the reception committee, did all in their power to encourage, the visitors on their first fooling in Gisborne.
