(From our own Correspondent.) 011 Monday last Mr lan Simson, Crown Lands Ranger, visited the district, and after inspecting the different holdings in the immediate neighborhood, returned again to town in the evening. AA'ith one exception the settlers here have still the dipping to put through, the most of them having postponed the operation until as many fats as possible were got off. How ever, tile coming week will see every one busier getting the dipping through. The mild weather experienced lately lias had a very beneficial effect on all pastures. A strong growth is still apparent, and stock are doing well. By all present indications tlio outlook for the future is most encouraging. An accident of a very painful nature occurred at Glcnroy station last evening, when a pa rty on horseback had the animal fall down with him, resulting in a bruise on the head and a bad fracture of the thumb. The unfortunate man was taken to town last night, passing here after 10 p.m. March 14th,
