POLO SPORTS
There was a fairly large attendance at the Alakaraka racecourse yesterday morning to witness the Polo Cup race for a challenge cup presented by Air. AI. It. Alurphy. Alessrs. S. AA 7illiamson and J. R. Alurphy acted in the capacity of judges, and Mr. AA 7 . G. Shcrratt was starter. Fifteen out of the eighteen entrants started,' and an interesting race ensued. From a good start General took up the lead, followed closely by Nipper, who challenged, headed the field as far as the straight. Minnehaha then came forward and romped home with Highland Mary and Planet second and third respectively.
