POLO TOURNAMENT.
The polo tournament was continued on Saturday afternoon, the weather being windy. • Manguheia 111. (18 goals) played Mangatu (7 goals), the former winning by a goal. It was a good gamp and fairly fast for the teams playing. Tlie players were:—Mangalieia III: D. Hawkins, T. D. Russell,' R. Black, and J. Rutledge. Mangatu : A. Reid, O. Evans, N. Spence and R. Barton.
In the open cup Gisborne defeated Mangalieia 11. by 11 to nil. After a fast game. Mangalieia had hard luck, and their opponents were superior. The players were: —Gisborne: E. Monckton, T. Slierratt, R. Slierratt, and J. R. Murpliy. Mangalieia 11. : W. G. Slierratt, J. C. Wilson, 11. Black, and J. Nielson.
