POVERTY BAY DOG TRIAL CLUB
A special general meeting of tho above club was held in the Poverty Bay Turf Club’s room at the Masonic Hotel oil Saturday night. , Present: Messrs D. Cameron (chairman), J. Herbert, E. D. Bilbam, B. Merritt, G. Hinton, K. McDonald, A. Wright, AY. Moore, It. Walker, F. B. Calcott, C. Hellior Evans, E. Gordon, and O. Evans. Tho business was to appoint secretary and judge and frame the programme for tlio trial to bo held on tlie 2Stli, 29th, and 30til ilists.
Air Bilham proposed Air Cameron for tho position of secretary. Regret was expressed at losing Air Hellier Evans, who was unable to be present on one of tlio trial days. Mr Aloore seconded the proposal, which was unanimously carried. Air Russell having agreed to his nomination, was appointed judge. It was decided, on the motion of the President, to alter a proposal passed last year to allow dogs only making 15 points to be eligible for prizes. A special prize of £3 was donated by Alessrs Hinton, Cameron, and Caleott for the clog working in the most natural style in the longhead class. Alessrs J. A. Harding and J. Caesar bad kindly offered cups as special prizes. It was decided to interview last year’s donors for prizes for the forthcoming meeting.
