BOWLING.

TURANGA Nil I CLUB. There was a splendid muster of bowlers at the above Club’s green yesterday afternoon, when some enjoyable games were played. Interest was chiefly centred in the Handicap Pairs, in which competition two 'games eventuated. The games were: Morrison and Martin (skip) ‘22 v. Edwards and Sawyer (skip) 16. This game concluded the second round. Hir’d played substitute for Morrison. Up to the Bth head the game was even, being 9 all, but from this point Morrison and Martin held their own, the concluding head showing 22 to 12. Edwards and Sawyer receiving a handicap of 4 points, the game ended as above . Maclsrell and Matthewson (slop) 25 v. Lucas and Hepburn (skip) 9. This was the semi-final. Lucas and Hepburn led to the Btli head, when their opponents drew on level terms—6 all. From this out tlie game was never in doubt, Mackrell and Matthewson, with 1 point of a handicap, winning with 16 points to spare. The final remains to be played between Mackrell and Matthewson and Morrison and Martin.
