Press Association WOODVILLE RACES. WOODVILLE, last night. At the Woodville races, second day, rain fell in torrents just before the first race, and three races were run in blinding rain. The weather then cleared. The attendance was excellent, and the racing very interesting. £5350 was put through the machine, making a total of £10,991 for the two days, a decrease of £2503 as compared with the corresponding meeting of last year. The starting of Mr. O’Connor, of Auckland, was a feature of the meeting. Toa Tula was sold after winning the Scurry. He was purchased by Mr. L- W. Lambert for L4l guineas. Results: Settlers’ Hack.
