MR. J. C. WILLIAMSON’S NEW COMEDY COMPANY.
This evening at His Majesty s Theatre, Mr J. C. Williamson’s new dramatic company will introduce to a Gisborne audience Mr 13. Molton Hoyle’s remarkable New York and Australian success, entitled, “ Tlie Squaw Man.” The piece possesses so many features of interest as to stamp it as one of tlie most popular plays of the last decade, which is a great deal considering the successes already witnessed in New Zealand, thanks in a great measure to the continued tours of Mr .1. Williamson’s companies. In The Squaw Man” the author lias introduced no stilted pictures of impossible tvpes, no evanescent drawing of characters that never wore nor ever could be, but a truthful and powerful story that grips the spectator and holds him enthralled untn the final curtain.
