CONCERT AT TRINITY SUNDAY SCHOOL.

There was a very large attendance at the concert held at Trinity Sunday School last night, in aid of the annual picnic and prize fund. The proceedings opened with a phonograph selection by Mr. Chrisp, followed by the well-known song “Come into the garden, Maud,” by Mr. Noton, for which ho was heartily encored, and in return he gave a spirited rendering of “Pegging Away.” Next followed Miss Redstone, who sang tho old favorite “Killarncy,” to the evident pleasure of the entiro audience. She also was encored, and gave “Absent” with excellent expression. Mr. Griffiths, who was responsible for the next item, sang “My Beloved Queen.” Tho next item was a song by Mr. Brownlee, “Three for Jack,” which was received enthusiastically. Miss Clyde Jones, of .Napier, came next on the list with a humorous recitation entitled “The Limitations, of Youth,” and evoked flic warmest applause. She was hastily recalled, and favored the audieneo with another humorous recitation. An instrumental duet (violin and ’cello) by Messrs. Adair and Brownies, made a pleasing variety. For the sake of the child•on a number of records were run off the phonograph by Mr. Chrisp, to the delight of the young folk. After a brief interval tlie music recommenced, Messrs. Adair and Brownlee giving a second instrumental duet. Mr. Teat followed with “To-morrow will ne Friday,” and upon being warmly encored gave “Awake.” The next item v. as the well-known song - “The Bridge,” by Miss Redstone. Dir. Brown’s turn now camo, and he sang the old favorite “Mona.” Miss N. Hooper sang “Rags and Tatters” with rare expression. Mr. Griffiths followed with “The Mighty Deep.” Miss Clyde Jones’ second item was another humorous recitation, which was very well received. Tho evening’s entertainment concluded by Mr. A. Zncliariali’s giving the amusing sketch, “Any Rags?” HTs return was imperatively demanded, and he replied with “Down where tlie Wurtzberger flows.” Mr. Ernest Chrisp did great service throughout the concert. Ho played almost all tho accompaniments. The Rev. Dawson Thomas worked energetically for the success of the concert.
