HOLIDAY COMMITTEE.

DISBANDED IN VIEW OF FRESH ARRANGEMENTS. A meeting of the Holiday Committee was held yesterday, there being present: His Worship ’ the Mayor (Mr. John Townley, in the chair), A. F. Kennedy , W. Cox, Ford, n. Peltie, and C. H. Ambndgc. It was resolved to grant an extension of the Thursday half-holiday to noon for each of the Racing Clubs on the first day of their summer meetings. General discussion ensued on the proposal made at former meetings regarding disbandment of the committee, and as previously indicated it was resolved to disband, and convene a meeting of those interested to make other arrangements in regard to joint action concerning the fixing of holidays.
