Ruddock has given £1 to tho shooting fund of tho Huramua Mounted Rifles, to bo awarded by Captain Bax. Williams, £520. Privilege of collecting dog-tax, E. Oldham, £44 15s. Mr F. E, Gadduin waited upon the County Council, pointing out tho noglooted stato of tlio Coast road. Thoro was a rato rovonuo of somo £277 yot there has been no expenditure at all on tho road which was ono of tho worst iu tho district- Tho eight miles botween Nuhaka and Waikokopu was tho hoaviest traffic road in tho country. Ho urged that a maintenance vnau bo put on pormanontly. The onginecr said the road was not formed and tho Noxious Weeds’ Inspoctor should be asked to have tho blackberries cloarod. It was useless to put a man on thoro at presont. Mr Gad dum said it was tho only main road in tho county monoy was not spont on. Evontually, on the motion of Cr Tait, seconded by Cr O’Noill, it was decided a permanent man he put on tho road,
