M. Mijatovitch, late Servian Minister in Britain, states that an envoy from Belgrade twice within a year visited London to enlist his aid in inducing Prince Arthur of Connaught to accept the Servian throne ■when King Peter was persuaded to abdicate peaceably, M. Mijatovitch refused to assist, declaring that King Edward would never consent to acceptance of the offer.
