PRESS ASSOCIATION Wellington last night, In the course of an interview after the Evans banquet to-night Sir J. G. Ward said ho had compiled a list of inducements to attract recruits to the volunteer force. Recognising the importance of officers, facilities for instruction must be given, and concessions in regard to cost must be given by defraying expenses to volunteers. There should be exemption from juries, and rail passes up to ten miles from tho centre of large towns to enable men in outlying districts to attend drills.
