Keen interest centred in tho opening wool sale of tho season to-day, and tho and the attendance both of buyers and sheep-farmers was extraordinarily large. Tho catalogue comprised 7122 bales, a slight falling oil as compared with last year, due to the unsettled weather interfering with shearing. Bidding was brisk from the commencement and in
keeping with tho Home market. Prices showed an increase of Id to 11- all round. Tho greatest competition was shown for wools of good lustre, the Americans bidding strongly for this class, The prices obtained and averages were as follows: Crossbred lino aud bright 13d, halfbred to 141 d, Lincoln 10id to lljd, pieces 7j- to Old,
