PRESS ASSOCIATION. Stratford, last night. The Wanganui Methodist Synod concluded its session here to-day. It was resolved that in view of the urgent need of church extension throughout the colony, and the embarrassed state of the Home Mission fund, the Synod pledge itself to raise one shilling per member throughout the district, in addition to the ordinary contributions, with a view to all circuits and Home Mission . stations throughout New Zealand falling into lino- This is estimated to raise £IOO in Wanganui district, and a total of £720 in the colony. A resolution was also passed affirming the desirability of constituting a New Zealand separate conference-
