Sydney, Nov 21, Newcastle reports that a message was received there to-day, asking that medical assistance be at once sent to Broughton Island, where it is reported that sickness lias broken out amongst the staff conducting tho Danysz rabbit virus experimentsNo information is forthcoming as to the nature of tho illness or the nature of the sufferers, excepting that Danysz himself is ill. The message was repeated several times from the Island in quick succession. A Government steamer, with doctors, stretchers, and medical outfit, was immediately despatched to the Island. Dr Ashburton, questioned on the matter, said all he know was that Dansyz had telegraphed him stating that he was sick, and asking that a doctor be sent at once. Dr Thompson said he had no idea of the nature of the ailment, but was perfectly certain it was not due to contact from the virus, He concluded that it was due to water or food or some circumstance outside the conduct of the experiments. He would probably not have definite information before to-morrow morning,
