FOUR MONTHS’ IMPRISONMENT.
PRESS ASSOCIATION Wanganui, last night. At the Police Court this morning a young man named Carruthers was sentenced to four months’ for wilfully damag-
ing a marc. The evidence showed that accused, losing his temper when trying to make a jibbing animal pull a load, broke a shovel handle over its head, and put a lighted fuse under its belly. As a result the udder was destroyed, and tho mare’s legs and thighs toasted.
