An inquest on the body of Mary Stevenson was held at Makotuku yssterday, and a verdict returned that death was due to poison, self administered while in a state of extreme mental depression. Deceased proceeded to Dannevirko on Thursday and purchased a box of “ rough on rats.” She took n considerable quantity beforo leaving by the express train for her home. On arrival at Makotuku she was very ill. Medical aid was called in, but tho woman died tho same night. She was very depressed for somo weeks, She leaves eight children, tho youngest being nino months old.

Donaldson had been apprenticed to Andrews, a dentist, and dismissed a 3 suffering from tuberculosis affecting both lungs.
