blocks being well represented. Draught I horses were judged to-day, being very strong in numbers and quality, in fact the I quality was the best seen here. InClydesI dale stallions A. Alexander’s Knight of the I Thistle was first and champion; G. F. I Moore's Bancor second ; A. Alexander’s I Queen of May first and champion for the I best all round mare. M. Edger’s Tomtit was first for weight carrying colt, as well las carrying off tho driving honors. ComI petitions are now proceeding and great interest is being taken in them by the

There is perfect weather- for tho opening day of Lho fourth annual show of tho North Otago A, and P. Association. Owing to the dry season and the Exhibition seriously affecting district exhibitors, there is a considerable decrease in tho entries compared with the 190 n show, the totals that year being 907, while this year they only number 888. The exhibits are all ol first-class merit, and include many prizotiik eis at this year's South Island show it is gratifying to note that wbdo there is a general decrease in the number of exhibits sheep show an increase over those of last year, tho numbers being: 190 u, 160; 1906, 188. The entries for horses number 219, against 243 last year, and of cattle 97. as against 182:
