Presbyterian Assembly.
PRESS ASSOCIATION' Dunedin, last night. At the Presbyterian General Assembly the report of the committee on the Book of Order, whioh btated the work was not ready for printing, was adopted, and it was resolved that the work should in* elude the confession of faith and longer and shorter catechism.
The reports of the committees on aged and iufirm ministcre’ fond and widows' and orphans’ fund were adopted, A deputation from llhe Oouncii of Churches waited on the Assembly, and affer addresses wero thanked.
The report on Foreign Missions was submitted and adopted. Mrs Milne, of New Hebrides, who was to have spoken, was ill with I-land fever, and oould not attend. Addresses were given by Misses McGregor and Moore and Dr Kirk.
The report on the Women’e Training Institute said that einoe laat report Misses Anderaon and Mawson had been ordained and settled as missionaries in Chine. Three others had been ordained as deaconesses. There bad been six etndenis in residence. The report wae adopted.
