The Management Committee of the P.B. Cricket Association was held in the Masonic Hotel last evening, Mr G, K,i Pasley in the chair. Mr F. J. Rowley, Secretary of the Floral Fete Committee, wrote, asking permission to hold the Fete on the, Victoria Domain on Thursday afternoon, The Committee were aware that the As* sociation purposed opening the cricket: season on that day, but they trusted that in spite of that, the Committee would! help them in the request. On the motion of the Chairman, seconded by Mr Gardiner, the request was acceded to, the opening day for the Thursday matches being postponed ro Thursday week. Mr A. F. Kennedy wrote accepting tbo appointment of Yice-Presidenfc, enclosing a donation towards the funds of the Association.
The Infantry Corps, Gisborne Rifles, aid Defence Cadets applied for permission, t) hold the 6ncampmsnt on the Domain,, stipulating that it would not interfere with, cricket.—This was'granted. The following matches were arranged, for Tnursday olubs: November 22adi, Union A v. B, Te Rau v. Common, 8hel« ton and 00. The following Postponement Oom« m'ttees were appointed—Saturday: Messrs Hill, Maude, Gorman, and Hodge. Thursday : Messrs Gorman, Tattereall, and. Poflitk A hearty vote of thanks wbb accorded to Mr A. F. Kennedy for a donation, towards the funds of the Association. The oommittee appointed to gather information re the importation of Bulli soil submiited a draft letter to be for* warded to cricket authorities in various oentres where Bulli soil has been tried, also to the New Bou‘h Wales Orioket Association.—The Association approved the letter.
A dkoussion took place on the question of inaugurating n second eleven compete tion, and it was ultimately resolved to request all cricketers to assist in farthering this object. Messrs Pasley, Maude, and Gardiner were appointed a committee to draft bylaws for the local Crioket Association. A vote of thanks to the ohair terminated the proceedings.
