Tne oommittoo was unable to g t tho guarantee stipulated by tho Asscciatiou, aud tho ojutraoior would not undertake tbe woik under £3O. The committoe teporied unfavorably on too suitability of local soil for laying down a iUrf wicket. Tho question of Thursday oricket was discussed, and on tho motion of Mr W. Giosou, seconded by Mr J. Gardiner, it was dtcided to by down a good clay wicket on the site of the old chipped pitch, Messrs GormaD, Tattorsall, Andrews and Hill being appointed a oomoiittue to Bee that the woik was carried out immediately.
It wus clodded to hold a ooncert at an enily date to provide funds for the improvement of the crickst ground, and a social later on in the season for the same purpose.
