Backers were successful in the first two races, but had a set-back in the Flying Stakes, laying odds on Solution, who was beaten before the distance was reached. Besults: — November Hurdle Eace, 2 miles— Regret 1, Skibo 2, Stockman 3. Six others started. Won by two lengths. Time, 3.49}. Second Nursery Handicap, 6 furlongs.— Orlet 1, Boastful 2, Verenice 3. Seven others started. A good race between the three, half a head separating each. Time, 1.16. Flying Stakes, weight-for-age, 7 furlongs. —lolaire 1, Lady Wallace 2, Berthier 3. Other starters: Menschikoff, Charles Stuart, Solution, True Scot and Ebullition. : Solution was first away and first round the % turn, lolaire drew past Solution on the T rails, and won by two lengths There was three-quarters of a length between second and third.
