Ballarat, Nov 2. Tlie New Zealand bowlers arrived today. The visitors were the guests of the South Street Society and Bowling Assocition They attended a band competition in the morning,-and played bowls in tlie afternoon, suffering defeat at tlie liands of Ballarat by twenty points. The scores were:— Dui-ie, Gillies, Buchanan, McLaren 18, against 29. Keast, Manning, Smith, Payne 22, ajjtiuibb'Oir Black, Waddell, Scott, Sneddon 27, against 23. Hastings, Lediugliam, Rankin, Dale 28, against 20. McGibbon, Moreland, Hancock, Bouskill 20, against 24. Bee, Akliurst, Gardiner, Wheeler 19 against 21. Totals : Ballarat 154, New Zealand 134,
