I PRESS ASSOCIATION Welingtoo, last night. Mr Ramsay Macdonald, M.P., was en. tertained at a sooiul evening to-night by the Wellington trades unionists. Westport last night, The Westport Harbor Board has been ihe subject of a good deal of oriiioism over various matters lately, chief among them being tbe saddling of the larger vessels and the charges made for coal for bunker purposes. Toe agitation has taken the form of an appeal to the Government to alter tbe constitution of the Board, so as to make it partially elective, tbe present beiog a purely nominee board. It is pointed out that the coal companies have or will have shortly a muoh larger stake in the district financially than the Government, and that they, the shipping,., I and the town interests are entitled to elect a representative on the Board. Muoh adverse oomment is expressed at a statement by Mr R. MoKenzie, M.H.R , at the Board’s meeting that tbe Premier had oonsigned to the waste paper basket the memorial on the question forwarded to him from a publio meeting. Mr F. F. Munro, in a letter to the press, hints that ' be will seek election to Parliament on tbe first opportunity if the necessity ocoaßions it to ventilate the question on tho floor of ho House,
