tutu and Lctlierin did a mile and a quarter in 2.11 o-5. Paritutu finished four lengths ahead after a pleasing gallop, the best since his arrival. He is improving fast. Signalman beat Stratagem by six lengths over six furlongs in 1.10 2-5. Boomerang defeated Grand Shun easily over a mile and a quarter in 2.15 2-5, Multifid, Iromnould, Lyrist, and Star Rose did over a mile and a half in 2.39

3-5. Multilid was in front all the way, finishing live lengths ahead of Lyrist and Star Rose, who were ridden out. Iron-

mould was beaten off. Multifid’s gallop was very impressive, Achilles did serviceable work, Cross Battery did the last five of six furlongs in 1.4 2-5 Martcllo, St. Joe, Field Gun, and Ghoorka did a mile and a quarter. Martcllo had all the best of the gallop, Ghoorka at the last performing badly. The time was 2.13. Eonc, on the course proper, did four furlongs in 53 2-5, Makaroff, Armistice and Notus
