A woman has been sentenced to 18 months for charges of abandoning two adopted infants. Evidence' was given that between August Ist and September 2nd, eight abandoned infants were found in the streets of Sydney, four of whom died after admission to the hospital. Accused made a trade of adopting infants for lump sums. The Judge said that in two other cases besides those for which accused was sentenced infants had died and there was no doubt these also could be laid to her charge.
