LATE NEW ZEALAND.
JPBESS ASSOCIATION Wellington, last night. Nows was received from Sydney yesterday of the sudden and serious illness of Mrs Gresley Lukin, wife of the Editor of the Evening Post, Wellington, who was on a visit to the sister colony. Later in the evening advico came of her death. The cause was hemorrhage of the brain. Mr Lukin is at present at Wellington.
Mr W. It- Morris, Assistant Controller of Monoy Orders and Savings Bank, and Assistant Accountant, will succeed Mr G. Gray, Controller and Accountant, who is to retire oil a pension at the end of the year. Government has approved of a scheme to erect an annexe to Mt. Cook Hermitage, to provide sleeping accommodation for twonty-four persons in view of the anticipated extra tourist traffic during the summer.
