BAPTIST CONFERENCE.

PRESS ASSOCIATION Wanganui, last night. The Baptist Conference continued yesterday. An invitation from Auckland Tabernacle that the conference for 1907 be held there was accepted. Tho officers for the ensaiDg year were elected as follows President, Rev. J. 0. Martin ; vios-president, Rev. W. L- Saltar ; hon. secretary, Rev. R. S. Gray ; hon. treasurer, A, Ohidgay j committee. Revs. J. J. North, A Dawdney, A North, J. Clark, and Messrs A. Hoby, H. M, Smeeton, A. 8. Adams, H, H. Driver, A. F. Carey, G, Carson; maoEgarof the Biptist, D. T. Allan ; editor, H H. Driver ; registrar and recorder, W. R. Woolley ; Union preacher, Rsv. W. Hay. The question of issuing a text book on the early history of tho Baptists was referred to a oommittoa for consideration. A special vote of thanks was accorded the Rev. F. W. Boreham for his past services as editor of tho Baptist. A debate on interchange of pastorates was adjourned.
