Thß steamer burnt at Hongkong was the HaDkow, not the Canton. She bad 2000 Ohineeo and seven European passengers aboard. The oargo consisted of matting and raw silk. The vessel bad just berthed, and in a few minntes was ablaze fore and aft. It was impossible to get the hose to work, ae the Are floats had been damaged in the reoent oyolone.
