Vory keen interest is being tnen'fesSod by the general public in the forthcoming production of “Tbs Gondoliers” by the amateurs, and everything promises for a remarkably successful season. The whole of tbo eoenery, wardrobe, properties, and appointments woro landed from the Talune on Wednesday morning in charge of Mr j Ernest (Jballerigor, who has come from I Christchurch to superintend the fitting of the scenery and properties. Tfio bos plans for the season will be opened st His Majesty’s Theatre on Monday morning nc-st at 10 o’clock, when season tickets will bo given preference, and priority of selection will bo decided by ballot. Country patrons outside a radius of three miles frern the Gisborne Post I Olfioe can make application f. r seats on a form to be obtained from Mr W. Miller, and their names will bo inoludrd in the ballot. Any oountry patron is at liberty to appoint a representative to attend tbo ballot,
