A SUDDEN DEATH.

PRESS ASSOCIATION Auckland, last night. Oapt. J. McLiver, a retired mariner, living at Avondale, died suddenly this afternoon. He and his wife had been visiting a friend at Auckland Hospital, and had just corns out, when the oaptain complained of feeling unwell, and sat down by the roed side, where he expired. Deceased was well known in tho South Sea Island trade.
