It is understood at Newfoundland that the Premier will not resign, preferring to fight to tho bitter ond. Ho especially resents the vivendi cancelling the colonial Aot preventing Newfoundlanders joiniog American vessels. He intends to vigorously enforce overy statute against Amorioans by the confiscation of vossbib. Instead of firing upon offenders ho will suspend the local ordinanoe against the use of tho purso and seine nets, enabling colonial fishermen to occupy the waters before Americans. Two colonial cruisers have been Bent to patrol.
