While the mare is all right she is likely to paralyse speculation on the race.

PRESS ASSOCIATION Napier, last night. The weather was again beautifully fine for the second day of the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s spring meeting. The attendance was again large, and the racing good, The sum of £6764 was invested on the totalisator, making a grand total of £15.220 for the two days, an inarease of £2185 on last yeat’s figures. The results were : MaDgapapa Hack Hurdles—Needlework 1, Jack Pot 2, Oaulton 3. Oinque also ram Won by half a length. Time, 2.2 L 2-5, Div £3 3s.
