600 FISHING JUNKS DESTROYED
PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received 4.49 p.m., Sept. 23. Hong Kong, Sept. 22. The latest particulars concerning the disastrous typhoon at HoDgkoog slates that ten thousand lives were lost. Tbe increased death roll is due to the loss of a whole fishing fleet of six hundred jnnks. Aotive measures aro being taken for the relief of sufferers. The Nord Deutsohsr Lloyd has given six thousand marks to the relief fund, and Chinese at San Francisco have cabled ten thousand dollars.
